SCOPE OF EXHIBIT:
The Art of Fiber is a themed exhibit, inspired by the medium and subject matter of fiber. The theme is up to the artist’s interpretation, and he/she may submit any work as long as it fits somehow with the media of fiber arts. All fine art and fine craft media is eligible, including but not limited to: screen-printing, embroidery, quilting, weaving, knitting, felting, rug hooking, crochet, macrame, silk painting, tatting, mini loom, spinning, and bobbin lace.
This exhibit will be displayed in the Depot’s Center Gallery.
SUBMISSION & ENTRY FEE:

Submissions must be received by 5pm on Monday, June 23rd, 2025. Applications or artwork images submitted after the deadline will not be accepted. Incomplete submissions will NOT be considered.
Entry Fee - $35 MA members in good standing (limit 2 works); $50 Non-members (limit of 2 works). Only pay entry fee ONCE. Entry fees are non-refundable.
AWARDS:
Gallery visitors will be encouraged to vote for their favorite piece for the duration of the show; one winner will be announced at the end of the exhibit. This exhibit will be held at the same time as the Pop Culture, A Small Works Show.
SALES:
Please note all submissions to our show will be displayed in our galleries, and if so desired, for sale. Mooresville Arts will assess a 30% commission for members and 40% for non-members on all work sold.
ELIGIBILITY:
Artists 18 years of age or older may submit up to 2 entries for consideration. Two-dimensional and three-dimensional art is eligible. Eligibility may be given to some artists 16-18 years of age; please email us for details. The work must be original in execution, concept and composition by the artist. All Fine Art and Fine Craft entries accepted in any fiber medium.Work produced from widely published photographs (unless with express permission), advertisements, websites, art books, other artists’ works, commercial or mass-produced mold or patterns and artwork created in a workshop or under the direction of an instructor is not allowed for entry. Artwork must be created 100% by the artist; no usage of AI will be accepted. Work must have been completed within the last three (3) years, and may not have been entered in a previous show sponsored by Mooresville Arts.
LIABILITY:
Mooresville Arts will do everything possible to keep each piece safe. However, submission of an entry is at the artist’s own risk. The declared value of the work must be reasonable and in line with the artist’s previous sales.
REPRODUCTION RIGHTS:
Mooresville Arts reserves the right to photograph any work for publicity or promotional purposes only. No compensation is provided for this use.
